Unit 1: Self as a Human Resource This section is all about looking at yourself—your mind, emotions, and body—as a valuable set of tools that you can use and improve. 1.1 Cognitive Resources of the Self This refers to the mental abilities you have (your 'thinking tools') and how you can become aware of them. The goal is to: Self-critical awareness: Know your own strengths and weaknesses (abilities) and what chances you have to succeed ( opportunities ).
