Thermal conductivity Tensile strength

 Thermal conductivity :

Metals are good conductor of heat. This is due to transfer of heat energy from one end to other by the free electrons.

Tensile strength :

Metals have high tensile strength, i.e. they can be stretched without breaking. This is due to the relatively strong electrostatic forces of attraction between the +ve Kernels and mobile valence electrons.
