Sometimes the moon , in it's path round the earth , pass between sun and earth , it's shadow falls on the earth and blots out the sun rays ., This is called a solar eclipse . 3. During an eclipse the sun or the moon is not always completely hidden , it is said a  total eclipse .  4 . During an eclipse  when a part of the sun or moon is hidden , this eclipse called a  partial eclipse.
