What is sickle cell anaemia
Sickle cell anaemia:-
Sickle cell anaemia is a syndrome in which the insoluble haemoglobin precipitates in the red cells and the red cells assume a sickle
shape . Haemoglobin is a carrier protein .
When one amino acid is altered in the chain of the protein , from Glu ->Val, the haemoglobin protein become less soluble , especially when it is not carrying oxygen .
